River Tubing Safari & Beach Adventure
Pay a trip to the famous Rio Bueno for an exhilarating tubing excursion. Your adventure starts a drive on the North Coast up to the Rio Bueno. Once you arrive, a guide will come out and help you get checked in and put on safety gear. When you're all set, your Ocho Rios tour guide will escort you to the Irie Bridge and down the jungle trail, where you will ultimately arrive at the river launch point. After one last safety check, you'll hop on your tube and start the adrenaline rush!
The river currents will carry you through the rainforest. All you need to do is sit back, relax and take in the scenery. The river has multiple lazy sections, which are each followed by thrilling class 2 rapids; the faster pace is sure to provide your fill of thrills. Along the way, there is one stop that gives you the opportunity to swim around and put your rope-swinging skills to the test.
Following a couple more rapids, the currents begin to subside and you will then embark on a boat ride into the Caribbean Sea. Eventually, you'll reach a private beach where you can just unwind, have a drink and take in the great weather before returning.
Please Note: It is sometimes necessary for children or adults to travel in rafts due to changing river conditions. The tour may be cancelled during adverse conditions or when the river is flooded.

Our family of 4 had our own guide. Water was refreshing. Occasional faster running areas but always shallow and definitely not "whitewater class rapids". The rope swi g was fun. Remember to swing out as far as possible before letting go. Spouse let go to soon and landed in a shallower spot twisting her ankle. Last piece of advice is bug spray. The trail walk to where you enter the water was swarming with mosquitos. Several bites each before starting the tubing trip.

We took this excursion in lieu of booking an excursion w Princess, in Jamaica's port stop. I was a bit anxious as most of our excursions were through the ship. This one was safe and absolutely a blast. Courtney and Davion were our guides and they grew up on the river we went down. they personalized it with stories and a short hike to a waterfall where we were all dunked under, briefly. It was awesome. The tiny beach was lovely and we had it all to ourselves. the lunch was great and of local flavor. It was totally worth it!
