This enchanting two-tank scuba dive Costa Maya excursion takes places in one of the largest and most beautiful areas of the Northern Hemisphere. During your half day excursion in the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef, you will get to see a variety of marine life including, but not limited to, sea turtles, eels, lobsters, stingrays, and nurse sharks. Enjoy coasting alongside these underwater inhabitants as they playfully swim around the magnificent coral gardens.
The Mesoamerican Reef spans 1,000 kilometers in the clear waters of the Caribbean. This vast body of water stretches from Honduras to Mexico. Reefs as old as 4 million years fill this massive area. Jaw-dropping backdrops are home to over 350 species of mollusks and 500 species of colorful fish. Costa Maya is one of the best-preserved areas in the Mesoamerican Reef, and as a result, it remains the healthiest and most vibrant reef you will find. Any given day of diving you are likely to share the reef area with turtles, moray eels, nurse sharks, rays, lobsters, barracudas, and groupers. Countless colorful fish such as angelfish, butterfly, parrot, wrasse, hogfish, damsel, surgeon, and blue tangs will excitedly swim in large schools, bouncing around their natural playground. Their Caribbean richness lights up the waters leaving you blissfully captivated.
Most sites do not present technical difficulties for the less experienced divers, and they are great to start the adventure of diving.

The dive masters/crew were friendly, safety conscious and patient with my son who had trouble descending at first. The customer service was excellent, the crew loaded the tanks, etc and all we had to do was get on the boat. The reef was beautiful and a short ride out.
The staff was very friendly and the dive sites were close by so no long little boat ride to make you sea sick before diving. Great pricing thru United site.

Very friendly and helpful dive show-- very accomodating. 1st dive could have been missed and done elsewhere where sea life was present. Makes no sense to take guests to only coral when sea life is the highlight
Very accommodating dive shop. Equipment was ship shape. Located right on the beach with some great little shops next door for souvenirs. Boat came back to shore between dives, so got shopping done right there on the beach! First dive experience in Costa Maya but definitely won't be my last. In fact, just scheduled a 5 night to include this destination and will be diving with same group.
Ok, while I am new at scuba and do not have a lot to compare to, yet, this was a wonderful time. Get this, it was just me who went, no other divers. The dive master and a divemaster in training and ME. Why book where you could possibly have a boat load of people. They did not cancel the excursion because it was me. Talk about a true experience. They took the time to explain things, let me ask questions and we lasted as long as my air did. Not a rushed experience.
