Whale Watching Experience

Set out on a memorable whale-watching excursion during humpback whale season in the waters of French Polynesia. Each year from August through early November, humpback whales migrate from Antarctica to these warm lagoons to breed, give birth, and care for their calves before returning south.

Board the boat and head out with a certified guide who shares insights into humpback whale behavior and helps spot activity such as traveling, resting, or social interactions. During the season, sightings are frequent, and whales are often seen alone or accompanied by their young. From a respectful distance, it may be possible to observe behaviors such as breaching or watching the whales surface and release water from their blowholes.

French Polynesia has been a Marine Mammal Sanctuary since 1986, and whale-watching activities are carefully regulated to ensure responsible and respectful encounters. All observations follow strict guidelines so the whales remain undisturbed and continue to return year after year.

On the return ride, relax on board with light snacks and beverages as you take in the experience and share the moment with others on the boat.

Please Note: This excursion is not suitable for guests with limited mobility who require assistance or rely on wheelchairs, walkers, scooters, or similar devices. Whale sightings are not guaranteed, as behavior and movement can vary and may impact viewing opportunities.
