We went whale watching in January as a port stop on a cruise. The whale watching boat was a short distance walk from the cruise ship. The boat was clean and comfortable and the staff was fantastic. We were lucky to see many grey whales on this trip along with a lot of dolphins. The information from the staff was very helpful and interesting regarding whales, whale migration, etc.
