Recommended Dress Although there are changing facilities at the falls, we suggest wearing a swimsuit under comfortable clothing. For climbing the falls, you need to wear shoes that will get soaked. A pair of water shoes or sneakers is recommended. Water shoes can be rented at the falls if you do not have sneakers or your own water shoes. Flip flops are not recommended. You may wish to bring a second pair of shoes to change into after the tour. A towel, sunglasses, sunscreen, and cash for gratuities is also suggested.
Restrictions To see the falls, guests must climb down several flights of stairs to reach the first viewing area. Climbing the falls requires climbing from rock to rock against the water. Climbing the falls is not recommended for guests with back, hip, or knee issues. As Jamaica is a mountainous island, walking may be on inclined surfaces. The weight limit for the tubes is 260 pounds.

After meeting your driver and small group, often 12 or fewer, you will drive from Falmouth, approximately 45 minutes west of Ocho Rios, to Dunn's River Falls, which is roughly 600 feet above sea level with beautiful, crystal-clear water running down the mountain into the ocean.

It takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes to climb all the way up the mountain. There are places along the way to slide down into pools of water, take a swim, and climb again. For those who wish to stop climbing, there are multiple points where you can leave the falls and walk on the adjacent path. There are local guides at the falls who will lead you up. These guides are separate from your Falmouth cruise tour and will expect a gratuity when you reach the top.

From the falls, you will drive to the nearby White River, where you will be provided with a life jacket and a circular inner tube for a relaxing yet exciting float downstream. Glide through lush tropical greenery as you take in the scenic surroundings along the gentle flow of the river. The tubing experience typically lasts approximately 45 to 55 minutes, depending on the river current.

Along the way, you may encounter small rapids that add a touch of excitement to your journey into the refreshing river before continuing downstream. Throughout the experience, your river guide will be present to assist you and ensure a safe and enjoyable ride.

Your driver will safeguard your belongings during the trip and will meet you at the end of the river for the return drive to Falmouth.
