The excursion was awesome, very informative. The tour guide was very knowledgeable about the topic and was so enthusiastic about his job. He made everyone feel comfortable. The beach resort was amazing all the staff was friendly and went out of their way to make everyone's stay pleasant . Would definitely recommend to others and would book again.

I recommend the ruins. It is really cool and great to experience. The beach hotel is a little small but the food, drink and fun is not to be missed.

Mayan Ruins

The tour of the ruins was excellent, but we almost didn't find the tour to begin it. When arriving at the terminal we spent 1/2 hour attempting to find the tour operator. No one had heard of them. Our party of 6 were the only ones on the tour. The beach break portion was at a resort and was quite nice and had plenty of very good food.

Tour started with drive to Xcambo. Not huge ruins but interesting, guide was very good providing history and answering questions. Only negative is lots of mosquitoes, guide provided repellent but something with deet would have been more effective. After tour we had a short drive to an all inclusive resort. The food and drinks were excellent and the pool was a great way to relax.

Very Interesting

The main issue is getting on the right bus to the right bus station from the ship. We showed the destination to someone who was organizing the buses by the ship and he summoned another bus over to take us to the right location. We confirmed with the bus driver and he said this was the right bus. But it was not. As a result, we had to walk several blocks and ask directions along the way. When at the correct spot, it was really just a street corner and we hopped someone would show up that would get us on the right tour. They did, but this is only a street corner operation and made us a little uneasy. Once on the vans for the tour, all was well, but we were disappointed with the transportation from the ship.
