We loved this excursion! Our tour guide Ethan was excellent. He was very knowledgeable about the history and geology of the area and you could tell he enjoyed sharing with us. We like about the tour that we travelled through a variety of landscapes and climate zones. We are so glad we took this tour!

Majestic scenery by bus
August 11, 2022
As we left Skagway, it was overcast and very foggy. Almost as we crossed into the Yukon the fog lifted, and we had a gorgeous day. The bus stopped several times along the way to take in the breathtaking scenery! Some of the highlights included a desert in the middle of the mountains, a delicious lunch that included all you can eat donuts, the sled dogs, mountains and lakes. I got to take a picture with a sweet little dog named Disney! The turnaround point was at Emerald Lake....so very picturesque! Our driver was informative as well as entertaining! As we approached the Alaskan border on the way back, the fog made itself known again. This excursion was definitely a highlight to our Alaskan Cruise.

Glad we picked this one

I’m so glad we decided on this bus tour instead of the train. We had the opportunity to stop for photos several times and our driver Mike was a virtual encyclopedia of gold rush history. Caribou Crossing was great: lunch was good, the hot tea was very welcome, and the wildlife museum was interesting. We really enjoyed seeing the sled dogs run and seeing the puppies. This is one of the longest excursions available in Skagway and you really get a lot to see and do. Even though the day was cold and rainy it was a great time and I wouldn’t hesitate to do it again. This was only the second time we booked an excursion not thru the cruise line and the experience was just as good.

Best excursion EVER!

We booked this tour feeling a little disappointed that we weren't taking the train ride like everyone else on our cruise. Come to find out the train only does a short round trip excursion and no longer goes up in to the Yukon. We were treated to the most amazing day by our tour guide Jenny. There were only 9 people on our tour which made it very personal and easy getting off and back on at all the stops. Jenny spent the day showing us spectacular views and giving alot of funny commentary along the way. Lunch is at an adorable little spot where you can see alot of Canadian history and pet husky puppies in training. This is a tour I'd recommend everyone take.

We came to Skagway by cruise & we’re planning to do an excursion via the ship which was cancelled. We found this excursion & we were very happy it worked out the way it did. The tour guide Mike made this tour with his knowledge & humor. He stopped at many great sites & helped take pictures along the way. If you take this tour with Mike you won’t be disappointed!! Thank you Mike! #14
