Samana Zip and Waterfall
Not all zip lines are created equal, and we have special access to the highly acclaimed "Walk the Plank" zip line, considered to be the best zip line in Samana. After a brief orientation, you will board your safari truck and drive to the zip line, approximately 30 minutes away.
The first run of 12 total lines is over 1000 feet long and takes off from a pirate ship more than 350 feet up a hillside. You will fly above the Lulu Waterfall as you cover 7000 feet of line. The zip is made up of the highest-quality equipment on a three-cable zip line system. You will be fastened in with a double harness that has two cams running along two of the cables overhead. The integrated braking system allows you to have fun without worrying about reaching up to grab the cable to slow yourself down, as you have to do on some other zip lines. There are staff members on-hand to do tandem rides if you are nervous.
After your high-flying zip, you will visit the Zumbador Waterfall to take a refreshing swim in the pool it forms.
Next, head down an unpaved road to a semi-secluded natural beach, where you can take in stunning views of the mountains diving into the ocean. Although the beach is not safe for swimming, the views of its natural beauty are not to be missed.
Please Note: Most of the roads traveled on the tour are paved, but bumps are to be expected.
