Canyon Hike to Waterfall

The hike into Canyon de la Zorra is a great way to explore the base of Cabo San Lucas' mountain range, the Sierra Lagunas. Your tour begins with a drive through the small agricultural town of Santiago out to the canyon where freshwater flows over huge granite boulders creating gorgeous pools.

Before beginning your hike, you'll stop at Rancho Sol de Mayo, where your guide will provide your park wristbands. While there, take a moment to meet some of the ranch's friendly residnet animals, including donkeys, goats, sheep, rabbits, peackicks and freshwater turtles. Your professional guide will lead you along a canyon path as he provides descriptions of the flora and fauna found in the Baja. Your hike ends at a spectacular waterfall that cascades into a large pool where we stop for a swim. It's hard to believe this oasis exists in the middle of the desert.

The hike is moderate because of all the boulders we have to climb over and around. There is a small amount of elevation gain. The tour includes an experienced guide, park entrance fee, beverages, snacks and lunch.
