Buggy Island Overview and Snorkel
Sale Price: $89.00
This excursion will take you on a fun and entertaining journey around the island of Cozumel. Ride in a customized dune buggy and visit the most interesting spots. Snorkel in pristine water and enjoy a delicious Mexican meal by the beach.
Once you have met your Cozumel tour guide, you will be assigned to a 4-seater buggy and have a brief operational orientation before boarding. From here, you will drive to a beautiful beach where you will stop to walk on the white sand, work on your tan, swim in the beautiful Cozumel waters, have a quick snack at the local restaurant (at your own expense) or even play some beach volleyball!
After your beach stop, you'll drive along Cozumel's eastern coastline, where you will pass deserted natural beaches for breath-taking views and several photo opportunities.
Continue your Cozumel excursion towards El Cedral, a historic town in which traditional Mayan culture is still maintained. Admire the quaint and colonial town church before visiting an ancient Mayan ruin and the house of the town's first 19th century inhabitant. Immerse yourself in the authentic culture of the region by visiting a local Mayan family's home to eat a traditional snack that has been prepared on site. Learn about the lifestyle, festivities and culinary customs of the indigenous families that reside in the village.
Next, you will visit the SkyReef Beach Club for a great guided snorkeling tour from the shore. Here you will discover the colorful marine life in the crystal clear waters of Cozumel.
After your day of Cozumel cruise excursions, we're sure you've worked up an appetite. Get ready to savor a delicious Mexican lunch by the beach while enjoying a magnificent ocean view. Choose from sizzling chicken fajitas, quesadillas or fish tacos, and then take in the views of the ocean as your meal is served.
Once you have finished your lunch, you will be returned to the meeting location. For guests with a little extra time and nothing to do, stay and enjoy (at no extra cost) the facilities at the SkyReef Beach Club. If you choose to stay, you will be responsible for taking a taxi back to the ship pier (not included) and ensuring you are on time for your ship's departure.

Yeah, ok, there weren't any doors on the buggies, but at 69, 63, 53 and 34 we 4 girls managed to pile in and out multiple times. It wasn't pretty. Omar, Ronny and Juan were very professional hosts and very concerned for our safety. They were funny and fun, very proud of their Mayan culture; lunch was really good, driving was a blast, snorkeling and beaches were beautiful.. Thanks for a great day!
Leave time to get out of the port! Even though we were docked close by, getting out is a bit of a maze. The dune buggies were great, but 3 in our group had some operating issues! The tour guides took care of everything though. I don't know where the beverages (max 4/person) were. We were offered a soda or water at El Cedral, but that was all. Soda was $2.50/can during lunch (cash only). The kids said there wasn't much to see during the snorkeling and it was "follow the leader". They couldn't adventure off alone to look....had to stay in the group. Lunch was good. Excursion guides were very nice.

What looks like a converted VW Beetle with a split open roof, no doors, it was pretty tough for oldsters to maneuver getting out of the back seat. A real workout, but fun ride. One interesting brief beach stop to walk around, grab a drink. Snorkeling location was wonderful...I saw my first sea turtle. Lunch was included after snorkeling.
