Buggy Island Overview and Snorkel
This excursion will take you on a fun and entertaining journey around the island of Cozumel. Ride in a customized dune buggy and visit the most interesting spots. Snorkel in pristine water and enjoy a delicious Mexican meal by the beach.
Once you have met your Cozumel tour guide, you will be assigned to a 4-seater buggy and have a brief operational orientation before boarding. From here, you will drive to a beautiful beach where you will stop to walk on the white sand, work on your tan, swim in the beautiful Cozumel waters, have a quick snack at the local restaurant (at your own expense) or even play some beach volleyball!
After your beach stop, you'll drive along Cozumel's eastern coastline, where you will pass deserted natural beaches for breath-taking views and several photo opportunities.
Continue your Cozumel excursion towards El Cedral, a historic town in which traditional Mayan culture is still maintained. Admire the quaint and colonial town church before visiting an ancient Mayan ruin and the house of the town's first 19th century inhabitant. Immerse yourself in the authentic culture of the region by visiting a local Mayan family's home to eat a traditional snack that has been prepared on site. Learn about the lifestyle, festivities and culinary customs of the indigenous families that reside in the village.
Next, you will visit the SkyReef Beach Club for a great guided snorkeling tour from the shore. Here you will discover the colorful marine life in the crystal clear waters of Cozumel.
After your day of Cozumel cruise excursions, we're sure you've worked up an appetite. Get ready to savor a delicious Mexican lunch by the beach while enjoying a magnificent ocean view. Choose from sizzling chicken fajitas, quesadillas or fish tacos, and then take in the views of the ocean as your meal is served.
Once you have finished your lunch, you will be returned to the meeting location. For guests with a little extra time and nothing to do, stay and enjoy (at no extra cost) the facilities at the SkyReef Beach Club. If you choose to stay, you will be responsible for taking a taxi back to the ship pier (not included) and ensuring you are on time for your ship's departure.

This was a fun way to see the island. We did a girls trip and enjoyed driving in the buggy. We are older and tour guides try to make it easier for us by giving us a buggy with doors. Our buggy had an issue so Omar gave us his buggy to drive , which had no doors. It was actually much easier to get in and out of. The buggies have no power steering! The gears were hard to find until you got use to finding them. We decided not to change drivers even though we can all drive a stick shift. The lunch by the water was very nice. Great spot to sit and enjoy. We chose not to snorkel. Our ship cut our time on island and we ended up with only 20 minutes to snorkel. Omar and Jose were very nice and helpful to make our outing the best it could be.
We had a great time exploring the island. The tour guides were attentive and professional. My 6 year old was thrilled with the entire experience. Would definitely do it again!

Jose' was great! It was the first time my daughter and I had been to Mexico and we had a great tour. Jose' showed us the coastal areas, snorkeling and the local as well as historical areas. The only disappointing things were (1) the ancient Mayan ruins they talked about was a small hill and the food at the little roadside bar was not as good as the Mexican food I get at home in Georgia. The waiter actually tried to make us pay for a bottle of water we didn't even open. He brought water over to us, we said we didn't want it a little later when he came back to the table, he took it back to the bar and then came back with a bottle that had been opened and accused us of drinking it...but I didn't pay for it! Other than that, it was all good!

We had a great time driving around in the Buggy! I haven't been to Cozumel for a number of years, and it was nice to drive around and see the countryside. The beach were we snorkeled was fine - wish I would've seen more of the beautiful sealife I remember from before. The luncheon was delish! We were back in plenty of time to still do some shopping near the docks. Carol & Tom
My mom and I did a girls trip. This is the excursion we chose as it gave us a variety of things to do. The tour directors were top notch. For the life of me I can’t remember their names. Which is too bad as they were amazing. Loved the whole day. From snorkeling to exploring the island, tequila tasting, and just siting on the beach drinking a cold corona...just typing this makes me want to go back.
