Isla Passion it is without a doubt, the perfect spot to spend a beautiful day in the Mexican Caribbean. This Cozumel adventure will take you on an off-road jeep ride where you can escape to the secluded beauty of a gorgeous and private tropical island on your Cozumel port tour.

Start your adventure with a Jeep tour for approximately 40 minutes as your caravan is guided through the town of San Miguel. Your route passes by the replica of the goddess I'xchel Castle and then continues throughout the northern part of the island, where you will shake, rattle, and bump along unpaved roads leading to Bahia Ciega. There you will catch a boat to cross to the island.

Your small open-air long boat ride will take 20 minutes for the crossing to Passion Island (the boats accommodate approximately 15 guests each). Once on Passion Island you will find palm trees, hammocks, lounge beds, water trampolines, kids club, beach bar, Palapa Restaurant, showers, dressing rooms, and restrooms. Enjoy approximately 3 and a half hours of free time to unwind on one of Cozumel's most beautiful beaches.

A hostess will welcome you and provide information about the facilities and what it is included. A delicious beach buffet and open bar of select beers, cocktails including margaritas, tequila sunrises, and rum punch, soda, and water enhance your day in paradise. A cash bar is also available with premium spirits and blender drinks. Beach activities are offered throughout the day and snorkel equipment, boogie boards, and aqua-cycles can be rented from the gift shop. In addition, massages can be purchased right on the beach.

Kayaking is also available to you, but the activity is optional. Kayaking is conducted in the gap between the mangroves and all guests are provided with information on the flora and fauna. The route takes approximately 30 minutes to complete. Feel at one with nature while gliding on the calm, shallow, clear water of the hospitable bays bordered by mangroves.

At the end of your time on the island you will take the boat back to mainland, where you will ride in your Jeeps returning to the downtown starting point.

Please Note: This tour operates rain or shine, within safety guidelines. All Jeeps will have four guests and the guide will match small groups with less than 4 people upon arrival. Drivers must be able to drive a stick shift and bring a valid driver's license.

We were really uptight about getting back to the ship at 3:30. Luckily we had another couple from our ship going on this excursion. Everyone was very accomodating and we didn't miss a thing. The road is in a sanctuary so it is not paved. Not a bad thing, it added to the adventure. The island has activities if you want to take part, almost all free. You can get a massage if you want and there is a gift kiosk and pharmacy there as well. If your cruise ship doesn't dock at the International pier it's about $8 american each way. No problem getting a taxi. I would do this excursion again.

I did enjoy the day. The drive was a very rough one. The Jeep we were driving was automatic so that helped. The guide was very good and through. The weather was rainy off and on all day (more on than off) but the way the island is set up with the canopies it was still an enjoyable time. The food was was very good and the scenery on the island very pretty. Everything you would expect a tropical island to be. I have no complaints about any of our day and plan to do this excursion again upon our return to Cozumel in the future. I do think next time we will ride the boat around to the island instead of the Jeeps but that has nothing to do with anything except personal preference. I do want to say the cruise line preaches to stay with their excursions for safety reasons but we never had any concerns throughout the day. The people with which we had contact this whole day took very good care of us,.

WE DROVE A 4DOOR JEEP WRANGLER WITH AUTOMATIC TRANS IN GOOD SHAPE. OUR GUIDE,FILEPE, WAS INFORMITIVE. IT IS A LONG BUMPY DRIVE AND MAY NOT BE GOOD FOR PEOPLE WITH A BAD BACK. BEACH WAS NICE AND WE GOT DROPPED OFF AT OUR SHIP WHICH SAVED A $10 CAB RIDE.
