Get an overview of Cozumel's history, along with tequila and beaches, on this half-day Cozumel shore excursion by an open-air touring bus.
After meeting your guide at the starting location, you will board your 36 seater bus and get ready to take in some of the many sites and tastes Cozumel has to offer. During your tour, you will experience a little sand, a little history, and a little tequila.
At your first stop, you will learn about the process of making tequila, from the plant to the bottle. After the demonstration, test different types of tequila such as a Tequila Blanco, Tequila Reposado, or Tequila Anejo.
You will then travel to the far side of the island to enjoy a unique beach with white sands, lounge chairs and a pool overlooking the sea. You will have approximately 90 minutes to relax, swim, beachcomb or purchase a tropical drink at the bar.
Your next stop on this Cozumel excursion will be will be at "Cedral," which was the first town on the island of Cozumel. Although this was a small village and not on the scale of the Mayan ruins on the mainland, it is still a part of the Mayan history, and your guide will explain the how and why. Local artisans will be available to show you their handicrafts. After your mini-Mayan history introduction, you will re-board the safari bus and return to the starting point.
