Our guide was an experienced rider who easily matched the horses with the experience of the riders. The ranch that the ruins is on is huge and amazing! So many ruins on a privately-owned ranch is rare and the guide knew all about the underground caves being tunnels--escape routes and what they found in the caves, etc.. GREAT and HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

We reallly enjoyed our horseback ride. Carlos was an awsome trainer. He did have patien c e with us first time riders plus he was attentive with advance riders that were in our group. The beqch access was a disappointment because the kids and afults thought we wetr going to be able to get in the water but where it was at it was not possible. They should change it just to beach front relaxation with no access.

This was the enjoyable trip. My husband always wanted to go horse back riding and I choose this as a surprise excursion he was so excited. The people st the ranch were great. The horses were beautiful and so well trained if you’ve never rode a horse before I say take this tour in Couzumel. The guide was really great. Loved my horse Marilla. 😎

Please know that if you book this external to the cruise ship that it is OK-- safe if you are the only ones in your group-- that was the most nerve wracking part not really knowing what to expect since we were the only ones riding on a bus to the middle of the jungle. They do several tours each day so if you happen to be the only ones from your ship you are lucky to get the personal tour like we did! Don't be scared-- it's legit! We highly recommend this tour- great bang for your buck, you get to see nature, ride horses, and see a non touristy part of Cozumel. Make sure to bring extra $ for tips and buy your horse picture. Tony our tour guide was GREAT!
On time pick-up at the cruise port by Shore Excursion spotter and greeted in a very pleasant manner by the tour guides. This is a wonderful working ranch in Conzumel. It took about 25 mins. to get to the ranch and the drive has a portion that is along the coast which provided beautiful beach views for a relaxing drive roundtrip. Once there you get a safety briefing as you are familiarized with your horse. A knowledgeable tour guide provided historical facts about the Mayan's and their way of life as we stopped at certain areas throughout the ride. The horse ride was adapted to your skill level. The excursion is titled Mayan Frontier by Horseback and Beach however, there is no beach portion to the excursion. The only beach you'll see is on the drive there and back. However, that does not take away from this great excursion.
