Private Upper Yarra Valley Experience
Private Upper Yarra Valley Experience
On this excursion, you will experience where wine, nature, and wildlife meet in the sweeping Yarra Valley, which is host to a thriving wine-growing industry. The area's relatively cool climate makes it particularly suited to the production of high-quality chardonnay, pinot noir and sparkling wine.
The Yarra Valley is surrounded by bush covered mountains on three sides, providing breathtaking views and an unforgettable backdrop of activities. Departing Melbourne in your exclusive Mercedes or Land Rover, your experienced guide will accompany you starting with a visit to Healesville Sanctuary where you will be treated to an Australian wildlife experience, see koalas, kangaroos, wombats and many more of Australia's wildlife in a beautiful native setting.
Next, make your way up and over Mt. Donna Buang Summit which provides spectacular views of the Yarra Valley. At the base of the Yarra Ranges, we'll explore the unique Californian Redwood Forest. More than 1450 Redwoods were planted here back in the 1930s which now reach high into the sky. It's an airy place, but strangely relaxing and great fun to explore.
Stop for lunch at the Warburton bakery and enjoy a delicious and famous Aussie meat pie and a lamington (or anything else that may tickle your fancy). Warburton is a great chance to enjoy a stroll along the Upper Yarra River, where the water and shoreline are pristine.
Moving on from Warburton, stop in at Saville Hill Estate for some wine and cheese tasting, this is what the Yarra Valley is most famous for.
