Our Kusadasi cruise excursions offer you an exclusive look at one of the most important archaeological sites in the world, the ancient city of Ephesus.
Ephesus was an ancient Greek and Roman city that holds so much history that it's referred to as one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.
Your tour guide will take you through the ruins of Ephesus to view the Temple of Artemis and the Temple of Hadrian.
The newly excavated area across from the Temple of Hadrian features houses of some of the wealthiest citizens that lived during that time. Their interiors feature beautiful mosaics and colorful frescoes owned only by the richest people. They even had heating pipes and running water.
You will also visit the Odeon, the two-level Library of Celsus. This impressive ancient roman building houses over 12,000 scrolls. It was well visited by many of the top scholars and was a place of learning.
The Virgin Mary House, located at the top of Nightingale Mountain, is a site you'll surely not want to miss. This is the very house where people believe she spent her last years. Entire pilgrimages and even some popes have trips to visit this small brick house.
You can also see the astonishing Grand Theater where St. Paul preached to the Ephesians.
Located 18 miles north of Ephesus is the city of Priene. Here you can see the ruins of the Temple of Athena and even find remnants of the wall that surrounded the city.
About 14 miles from Priene, you'll find the city of Miletus. This city was known for having a large Roman amphitheater. Gladiator matches and other grand spectacles were held here. Imagine sitting in the same seats where people used to watch gladiators fight to the death.
12 miles away from Miletus, you'll find the city of Didyma. This city contains ruins of the Temple of Apollo. This temple, built around 550 B.C., was supported by an incredible 112 columns.
These are the most well-preserved ancient sites across the Eastern Mediterranean region.
Discover the endless history and beauty of Ephesus privately or with a small group. Learn about the Ionian history, and experience traditional Turkish village life as soon as you arrive at the Kusadasi Port.
